Racking up EMA Wins!

Lady Gaga Racks Up Three EMA Wins

Lady Gaga wasn't in the building, but she still managed to steal the show at the 2010 MTV Europe Music Awards Sunday night (November 7).
Gaga couldn't attend because she was dishing out the theatrics on her latest Monster Ball tour stop in Budapest. But the pop sensation interrupted her Budapest show to accept her trophies live via satellite, giving acceptance speeches in the extravagant looks that have shocked many red-carpet watchers.
Gaga's winning streak began early in the night when the star picked up the award for Best Pop, which she accepted mid-show in a sculptural purple jacket. Later, she picked up Best Female in a black bodysuit in front of a sooty car, giving a heartfelt speech and sharing a brief lip-lock with the dancer who handed her the trophy.
The singer really let loose when she nabbed Best Song for "Bad Romance." Rocking yellow hair and donning a sheer, plastic minidress — the only thing obscuring her nipples were pasties in the shape of an "x" — Gaga accepted the award with the type of show-stopping energy she's become renowned for. After lamenting that she couldn't be in Madrid physically, she began to belt out a funked-up version of her The Fame: Monster track "Teeth." "Show me your teeth!" she sang, working some James Brown-esque moves that included a full-on, rock-and-roll backbend on the ground.
Even EMA host Eva Longoria gave Gaga a shout-out, trotting out in a giant ham costume she quipped the singer left behind — a cheeky reference to Gaga's headline-grabbing VMA meat dress.
The 2010 EMA show airs on MTV2 on Sunday (November 7) at 9 p.m. ET, and an edited, performance-heavy version will be broadcast Friday at 9 p.m. ET on MTV.

lady-gaga-lace-bodysuit-bri.jpgNo need to fight. There's enough Lady Gaga for all her little monsters.

Madame Tussauds' famed wax museums around the world will get their own unique Lady Gaga wax figures. She makes history with eight different outrageous Gagas for eight different cities. The grand unveiling will take place on Dec. 9 in each of the locations, including three in the U.S. in New York, Las Vegas and Hollywood. The international Madame Tussauds are in London, Amsterdam, Berlin, Shanghai and Hong Kong.

We know which styles will be revealed, but not which city will get which style.

The eight styles that will be revealed are:

  • Lady in Lace - Alex Noble lace body stocking and Philip Treacy face mask topped off with Marie Antoinette-inspired hairstyle.  As seen at The Brit Awards 2010 (pictured above)
  • Telephone - Philip Treacy telephone hat paired with a black Armani coat, flared trousers and towering heels. As seen on "Friday Night with Jonathan Ross" in March 2010.
  • Harlequin - Black Marjan Pejoski bodysuit with oversized black neck ruff and sleek, super straight platinum hair.  As seen at Grand Intercontinental Hotel Seoul, South Korea.
  • Kinky Boots - Short black Bruno Pieters leather bodysuit cut away to reveal black lace bra, quirky "disc" hat and thigh high black boots.  As worn at the Hakkasan restaurant in London in April 2009.
  • Minnie Mouse - Off one shoulder black latex body suit with long straight hair topped off with "Minnie Mouse" style buns.  As seen at the BBC Radio 1 studios in London.
  • Hair Hat - Gaga's own blonde locks splayed out into a huge sunhat teamed with black see-through net dress.  As seen at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
  • Wired "wing" dress with lightning "eye" - Short black Orschel-Read strapless dress with wired, thigh high patent boots and black lightning stripe make up over one eye.  As worn on the "Wetten Dass..?" game show in Germany in November 2009.
  • Big Hair - Towering purple hair piece atop waist length platinum locks, with nude Maison Martin Margiela bodysuit, white blazer and huge platforms.  As seen outside Phoenix Hotel in Copenhagen, Denmark in July 2009.

Here's a look at one of the Gaga clay heads, which will then be molded in wax. All eight of the figures are being worked on simultaneously at Merlin Studios in West London, England over the course of four months. The cost per Gaga is $300 K, or a grand total of $2.4 million for the Gaga gaggle.

Haunted by a Ghost?

NOVEMBER 03, 2010

Lady Gaga may be haunted by an angry ghost named ... Ryan

tbd-ladygaga110410.jpg
Lady Gaga is starved for attention again, so now the U.K.'s Daily Star says Gaga claims she's being haunted by a ghost. Her P.R. machine mistimed that one by about four days.
"She's been telling us all for months that she has a male spirit called Ryan who travels the world with her," a source from the performer's tour allegedly tells the Star. "She's pretty terrified by this spirit, but more than anything he’s annoying her as he won’t leave her alone. He hasn’t been doing anything too violent or scary but she's freaked out by his presence."
If we made up a ghost, it would have a way cooler name than Ryan, but apparently she spent Halloween trying to rile up the spirit, the same way she riled up crowds by holding up a Tricolor Irish flag and flipping the bird at her Belfast concert on Sunday.
"She gathered all her friends over the weekend in Belfast and held a séance to communicate with Ryan and find out what he wants," the source says. "She's convinced she picked this up as a bad omen." No need to worry; chances are she was just asking for fashion advice.
